8. Declaration

All personal information submitted to the University of Tokyo is appropriately managed in compliance with the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information Held by Independent Administrative Agencies” and the “Management of the University of Tokyo Students’ Personal Information.”

Personal information related to the applicant, such as name, address, date of birth etc., will be used only for the purpose of the admissions process, announcement of results and enrollment procedure. Personal information related to the applicant and test results will be used to improve future selection procedures. Furthermore, the personal details of applicants admitted to the University of Tokyo will be used for:
